Gerry Interviewing Gerry Mandel, video producer for Write for You, has the ability to make people feel comfortable on camera. He co-hosted “Living Well,” the weekly St. Louis TV show for seniors. During its five-year run on HEC-TV he interviewed dozens of people from all walks of life on a myriad of subjects. After interviewing a number of W.W.II veterans for the Library of Congress project on veterans, Gerry said, “I never realized how many stories have gone untold, until I talked to those vets. They told me things they had never shared with their families. I found the process deeply touching. Everyone has a story, a life, that is worth the telling. And I love being part of the process.”

Gerry has written and produced many films, including “The Journeys We Must Take,” an award-winning documentary about the new Lewis and Clark sculpture on the St. Louis riverfront, shown on public television and at various film festivals. He and Kathy offer you and your family this wonderful opportunity to capture on video the telling of a life story for generations to come.

Write for You now has the ability to record, edit, and produce quality video interviews for you. When we make the video, you can feel free to relax, be yourself, and just tell your story. We can edit later, keeping what works and deleting the moment when the doorbell rings or someone sneezes! We can also add music and photos.

As a complement to a book project: A video interview on DVD is the perfect companion to a book project, and can slip into a pocket inside the back cover of your book.

As a separate project: You need not be writing a book with us in order to do a video project. The videos stand very well on their own. We can discuss ahead of time what subjects or stories you may want to be sure to cover in your video interview.

How it works: We will visit you in your home or office, bring a small camera and light, and have a conversation. That’s it. Gerry Mandel, videographer for Write for You, will edit and produce a video, about 45 minutes in length. You can purchase as many copies as you wish. We can also make your video privately available to you and your family and friends on the web.
